Payment of Tuition Fees



1. Science of Living Programme

Full-time: Learners may pay their tuition fees in two instalments each semester, one instalment at the start of the semester, and the second instalment before the end of the eighth week.

Half-time: Learners must pay their tuition fees in a single instalment at the beginning of each semester.

2. Master of Sri Aurobindo Studies and Doctor of Sri Aurobindo Studies Programmes: Learners must pay their tuition fees at the start of each semester.

 


 

Special Note for Sri Aurobindo Ashramites and Aurovillians

For learners who are on the Prosperity list of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry, no fees will be charged. For learners who are full-fledged Aurovillians or have official Newcomers status, Indian fees apply regardless of their country of origin. These exemptions apply to SACAR-TUT programmes only; they do not apply to the degree programmes offered jointly with International Vedic Hindu University.

 


 

Grants

Scholarships and studentships are sometimes made available for helping learners of Indian origin and living in India who wish to study our courses but who are presently suffering conditions of economic hardship. Learners who wish to apply for these grants should request the office (office@theuniversityoftomorrow.org) to send them the Financial Aid Regulations and Financial Aid Application Form. Although we cannot guarantee that financial aid will be available, we will do our best to help eligible applicants on a first come first served basis.

 


 

Payment Information

 

  1. The total amount for tuition and fees must reach the SACAR office before the start of the semester. Please consider the time taken by the postal service when mailing your payments.
  2. Late registration and payment will be accepted up to with an additional late fee of Rs. 50 ($5.00 for foreign applicants).

Please send the Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque for the full amount, drawn in favour of SACAR Trust, payable at Pondicherry, India by registered post/speed post/courier at the address below:

Refunds

Learners who choose to withdraw from a course or programme within the first two weeks will receive a refund of two-thirds of their tuition payment. Other refunds of application and tuition fees are not given unless SACAR is responsible for the early cessation of a learner’s programme due to the sudden absence of the learner’s facilitator or a breakdown of the learning facilities. In such cases the refundable amount will be equal to the period of the programme not completed.

 


 

Policy on Fee Payment

Learners who enroll with us to undertake a programme of study are required to pay all fees owing to SACAR according to the rules of payment for each programme. We reserve the right to cancel a learner’s registration if they fail to pay their fees in accordance with the required deadlines. The learner would then no longer have access toSACAR's educational facilities.
