The Baroda Connection

SACAR has been officially recognized by The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda as an affiliated doctoral research centre in the subject of Philosophy. Scholars pursuing doctoral studies at SACAR and specializing in Sri Aurobindo's philosophy, thought and vision will now be eligible to get their PhD degree in Philosophy from the Faculty of Arts at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.

With SACAR now being recognized as a research centre within the Faculty of Arts of the MSU, we are humbled at becoming the instruments to carry forward an important link between Sri Aurobindo and Baroda. Sri Aurobindo had a long academic career as a teacher of English and French, and later as the Vice-Principal of the Baroda College, which later grew into the University.

The doctoral programme design followed by the students enrolled under this programme will be jointly determined by SACAR and MSU. Interested candidates should contact SACAR for details on admission process and applicable fee structure.
