New Race: A Journal of Integral Studies is a journal that seeks to promote Sri Aurobindo's vision of the future in the context of other insights and their relevance to the present-day world. It maintains that Truth is a common human heritage and therefore eschews all parochial, fundamentalist and sectarian approaches. It fosters the primacy of individual freedom, social harmony and human unity. Above all, it stands for the progressive spiritualisation of mankind--a spirituality that subsumes and does not negate matter and material life.
Institute of Human Study and SACAR
The first millennium has been for humanity one of the development of the physical-vital. The second has been one of the flowering of the mental faculties. The third one promises to be the spiritual.
In this context the Institute of Human Study was founded by Prof. V. Madhusudan Reddy at Hyderabad in December 1964 by the sanction and blessings of the Mother, who in fact is the Institute’s permanent Honorary President.
The Institute’s objective, among others, is not only to promote the study of all human problems in the light of an all-comprehensive higher consciousness, but also to promote the progressive unification of the human race through an increasing awareness of its spiritual origins. All subjects are related to man’s integral progress and as such have to be studied in relation to his inner evolution and outer well-being paving the way to lasting peace and world fellowship.
With a view to focus on the study of all subjects related to man’s integral progress, the Institute sponsored in 1996 the Sri Aurobindo Centre for Advanced Research (SACAR).
